Supporting the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), the journal “Ukrainian Linguistics” provides access to its content based on the principles of openness and accessibility, which allows you to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or refer to the full texts of its materials.
Publication and sharing of open data
The journal “Ukrainian Linguistics” supports the principles of open science, which encompass the following practices:
- Early and open dissemination of research
- Management of research results
- Ensuring reproducibility of results
- Open access to research results
The editorial board encourages authors to adhere to ethical principles in the collection and use of data and to use proper citation.
The journal implements the principles of open science by adhering to fair review practices, conducting transparent editorial processes, and promoting openness and reproducibility of research results.
Principles of responsible assessment
The editorial practices of the journal “Ukrainian Linguistics” embody the recommendations and approaches set out in the DORA Declaration (San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment). Therefore, the editorial board adheres to the general DORA recommendation:
- Do not use journal metrics, such as impact factor, as an auxiliary indicator of the quality of individual scientific articles.
Compliance with FAIR principles
The editorial board of the journal “Ukrainian Linguistics” is convinced that all research-related data should be searchable, open, compliant with generally accepted standards, and reusable (FAIR — Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
We ask authors to store the data underlying their research in appropriate repositories.
We encourage authors to evaluate their research data using the following tools:
The editorial board advises authors to manage their research data, in particular to draw up the data management plan based on templates (template 1, template 2, template 3), and adhere to it in order to avoid data distortion in the research process.
